Meds change
So they’re switching me from Thorazine and Risperdal to Geodon. my doctor was strangely accepting of this and when i suggested cutting down the Thorazine 50mg a week he even said “I’ve had people go faster than that”. I was surprised because last time i wanted to get off of a medication (the Risperdal) he suggested 1 mg a month. I think he accepted it because i told him my BMI was about 35 and it kept getting larger and he knew i was doing it for health reasons. Hopefully it won’t cause any more weight gain (which for most people it hasn’t and a study said that in overweight people it usually caused weight loss!). I also hope that it takes care of my extreme irritability and depression that went along with the psychosis. The risperdal is what was taking care of that before. I was very irritable towards everyone and i was just miserable so i really hope that doesn’t come back.
